Opening Day T-Shirt Campaign

We are in the process of incorporating and we'll soon need liability insurance for 2020. We've launched a t-shirt campaign where we'll receive almost 50% of the total cost of the shirt towards our goal. Why not wear a great looking shirt and support our school at the same time.

We hope you'll join us for Opening Day and wear your shirt then too!

We've partnered with BonFire so that our shirts can be sold all over the planet. If you live in the local area upon check out you can select the "Ship my order to address provided by seller" and I'll be able to deliver it to you when the shirts come in. This will cut your shipping cost down to .99 cents.

Transparency Statement: $25.00 per shirt, $14.65 materials and processing, $10.35 profit which is used towards paying one year of our liability insurance. Shirts we sell over the 25 shirt mark will increase our profits and the amount we receive. (These numbers do not include shipping costs which vary depending on quantity purchased and shipping method)

Post Game Night

What a wonderful evening of laughing and competition.  We started off the evening playing some five card poker, we even used some "gems" to learn how to place bets.

After a few rounds we realized the card shark of the bunch was our resident four year old.

Then after this we played a few rounds of UNO which everyone thought was super fun and we had a lot of laughs.  It is hard to win when you forget to say UNO!

After that our groups split up and a few different games were being played.  Most of the teens retired to the garage so that they could play some game that involved slapping.  (and laughing loudly).

The 8 year old played legos at the lego station.

Our next Friday Night event is scheduled for Friday, December 20 and we'll be enjoying a fine evening watching a movie and eating a lot of popcorn.  A lively discussion will round out the night.  All ages welcome.

Day 1 - AERO CONFERENCE

Wednesday!

#2 and I were able to check out some schools that were open to learn from in the Portland area.

https://wayfindingacademy.org/

As a quick break before I headed back to the conference for some documentaries we hung out with a friend and went to a local area tourist destination, Fort Vancouver and the Pearson Field/Pearson Air Museum.

I'll edit this post soon with some great pictures.  The fort has a wonderful garden and so much great info.  The eight year old loved the planes at the air museum best.

I then headed back to the conference and enjoyed watching two documentaries, THE TEST AND THE ART OF THINKING:  https://www.thetestdoc.org/
and BEING AND BECOMING: http://www.etreetdevenir.com/EED.en.html#Accueil

The purpose of me offering this info is to provide some ways to think about our role as parents and to evaluate and reflect on how we are parenting.  Love Source School does not agree with or promote any of these schools or films but hopes that they fuel discussion.

Would you like to get a taste of what Love Source School might feel like?  There will be a wonderful retreat this May in Michigan.  This week a friend of that school, Jeff and the past director of Upland Hills School, Phil, spoke about the future of childhood education.  I took some notes and the link to those notes are here:

What does your vision of the future look like?

If you have the funds and the time and the desire, join us in this discussion at https://trimtab.in/events/the-future-of-children/
